Founded in 1947, Fremont Civic Theatre has been a part of the cultural offering of the Royal Gorge Region for over 60 years.
Fremont Civic Theatre produces a full season of shows annually, including large scale musicals, plays, children’s theatre and a New Year’s Eve murder mystery fundraiser/dinner and now, theatre training workshops for children and adults.
Fremont Civic Theatre is recognized as a Colorado non-profit organization and we have an IRS 501(c) (3) designation. All donations to our organization are tax deductible. FCT’s Board of Directors consists of volunteers and our meetings are open to our membership and the public. Board terms are served for two (2) years and voted on by our membership at FCT’s annual meeting and picnic. Anyone is welcome to serve on any of our volunteer committees which include: marketing, artistic and long-term planning.
Though we are currently striving to find a permanent home for our productions, FCT does not currently have a “home theater”. We often partner with local schools and we have become very creative in utilizing a variety of venues for our shows. If you have an idea, or access to a permanent venue, please let one of our board members know or contact us by filling out the form on our “Contact Us” tab or on Facebook: www.facebook.com/fremontcivictheatre or by calling 719-275-8989.
You may also receive audition announcements, production dates, educational workshops and special events by signing up for our mailing list. Please click on the mailing list form on the left side column to join.
Donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items are accepted in lieu of admission for FCT’s annual children’s theatre fundraiser. This event benefits Fremont County’s homeless shelter, Loaves & Fishes, and helps provide food for families in need in our community.
With your help, we hope to continue to produce great, classic, theatre pieces as well as bring exciting, new and interesting plays and musicals to the Royal Gorge Region.
